ALnico Speakrs - Frequently Asked Questions
Where do your alnico speakers come from?
Most of our alnico speakers are salvaged from vintage organs, radios and other instruments which were non-functional and therefore were decommissioned.
How do I identify these vintage speaker?
Since most of our Alnico Speakers come from decommissioned Hammond organs, Hammond Tone Cabinets and Leslie cabinets, one can identify their date of production base on the date codes stamped on them. The coding scheme on most our speakers is XXXYWW where XXX is the company EIA code, Y is the last digit of the production year, and WW is the production week. An Alnico Speaker with a code 575642 would be a Heppner speaker made in the 42 week of 19x6.
In what condition are the speakers you sell?

Each speaker is thoroughly inspected, cleaned, preserved and tested so that there are no surprises when you're ready to use them.
